Di Marzio provides significant update in Pedro Porro to Spurs transfer saga

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has taken to Twitter to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur have sealed a deal for Pedro Porro for a €45million (£39.9m) fee.

The news was also complimented by Fabrizio Romano who has just revealed on Twitter that Tottenham are finally expected to seal a move for Porro tomorrow ahead of the transfer window closing

The Spanish international played his last game for Sporting CP on Saturday evening when they were on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat to FC Porto in the Portuguese League Cup final and appeared to wave goodbye to supporters following the final whistle.

The 24-year-old scored against Antonio Conte’s side in the Champions League back in October and has been linked with a move back to the Premier League for the majority of the transfer window.

The Portuguese giants have long been adamant that the 23-year-old, who completed a permanent move to the club after two successful loan spells from Manchester City, would only be sold if his €45m release clause was met (Record).

Tottenham and fans alike will be relieved to see Porro holding up his Spurs shirt ahead of this weekend’s game against Manchester City to hopefully add another dimension to the right-hand side of the pitch. Now the focus will be on Fabio Paratici and co to finish the window strongly with a couple more arrivals.
