Alasdair Gold reveals Spurs are not currently close to any signings or sales

Football London journalist, Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham are not currently close to signing any new players or selling existing ones.

Spurs started the summer transfer window like a house on fire in June and early July, bringing in five new faces in the form of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet on loan.

Meanwhile, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele, and Giovani Lo Celso were all left out of Antonio Conte’s South Korea pre-season squad, hinting that none of the four are in his plans for the new season.

There continue to be whispers that Djed Spence is closing in on a transfer to Tottenham and could join this weekend, but Gold has dismissed the idea that Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici are close to any new signings.

Gold said in his latest YouTube video (1:10:10): “Unfortunately, no transfers right now close to being done, in or out.

“Obviously, Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks all left at home in order for them to find new deals, or their agents to, so hopefully that will happen.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Tottenham had their flurry at the start of the transfer window, but I think things will be far more measured now. The Djed Spence deal will drag on, but Spurs will definitely get a new right-wing-back. I would also expect them to sign one more surprise player before the window slams shut.
