Alasdair Gold reveals Spurs could still look to sign four new players this summer

Football London’s Alasdair Gold has now revealed that Tottenham could look to sign as many as four new players this summer before the transfer window closes.

The journalist reported that Spurs want to ‘at least’ sign a new centre-back, a right-back, and a striker, but they could also look for an attacking midfielder if a ‘good opportunity’ is presented.

So far this summer, Tottenham have already signed a new keeper in Pierluigi Gollini, a new central defender in Cristian Romero – who made his debut against Man City – and a new winger in Bryan Gil.

The likes of Danny Rose, Paulo Gazzaniga, Juan Foyth, Joe Hart, Erik Lamela, and Toby Alderweireld have all departed North London this summer too.

Gold also reported that Spurs will be needing to sell players in the remainder of the window if they want to secure their own transfer targets, but Tottenham could be in the position to advance deals quickly when the time comes.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be thrilled if we signed four new players because that would also mean player sales, however, I am only expecting two or three new incoming signings. A new defender and a striker/attacker should be top of the list.
