Alasdair Gold reveals player set for Spurs medical in London tomorrow

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are now likely to complete deals for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini and Sevilla winger Bryan Gil.

Tottenham were linked with a whole host of goalkeepers over the past few months but it appears as if Gollini is the one the North Londoners have settled on.

If Gold’s latest update is to be believed, the goalkeeper is likely to be the first player to arrive through the door during the Fabio Paratici era.

The journalist revealed that the 26-year-old is expected to undergo the remainder of his medical at Hotspur Way on Friday after arriving in London late on Thursday.

With the rules of isolation requiring elite sportspeople coming from Italy to isolate for five days while taking two tests to check for COVID-19, Gold explained that Gollini could isolate in the facilities at Hotspur Way.

He stated that the goalkeeper, who will arrive on an initial loan deal, would offer ‘stern competition’ to Hugo Lloris for the number one spot.

Gold also confirmed that Gollini is likely to soon be joined by Gil at Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

If we manage to sign Romero along with Gil and Gollini over the next few days, that will represent a fantastic start to the transfer window. Paratici has certainly shown so far that he means business. It is certainly great to see Spurs being proactive in the transfer market for once.
