Alasdair Gold reveals three ‘bromances’ that are forming at Tottenham

Football.London correspondent Alasdair Gold has revealed there are currently three bromances developing at Tottenham.

The Spurs squad has typically been built on a tight-knit group of players which was seen prominently under the five-year tutelage of Mauricio Pochettino.

The infamous cheeky pairing of Dele Alli and Eric Dier was the face of the Argentine’s squad, though it was broken up in January after the former’s permanent departure to Everton.

And things seemingly haven’t deviated under current manager Antonio Conte, with Gold claiming three duos have formed close bonds.

The journalist first explained that Heung-min Son, a live wire in the Spurs squad, has developed a friendship with Wales defender Joe Rodon and summer signing Cristian Romero.

Gold also revealed that Harry Kane has moved close to Matt Doherty since the latter’s arrival at the club, with both sharing an avid interest in golf activities.

Asked to touch upon some of the relationships in the squad in an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, he said: “Pretty much anything involving Sonny. He and Rodon is a funny bromance and he’s starting to form one with Romero.

“Kane and Doherty is also an interesting one. They’re golfing buddies and I think we’re starting to see their link-up show on the pitch now.”

It is important that the players have others to fall back on and have a laugh as it should massively help when things get tough.

The dynamic is quite interesting as we have seen Romero, who has only been at the club for a few months, take quite a liking to Son in recent weeks with footage displaying that.
