Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to ‘back Antonio Conte fully’ this summer after he steered the club to a top-four finish.
With their 5-0 demolition of Norwich on Sunday, Spurs booked their place in next season’s Champions League, with Conte insisting that it was one of the best achievements of his managerial career (Spurs TV).
Gold has now revealed that the Italian has forged a strong bond with his Tottenham players over the course of the last seven months.
The journalist adds that Conte has also been making his views clear to Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici about the changes that need to be made to create a team that can compete with the elite.
It is explained that the 52-year-old will sit down for talks with the Spurs chairman and managing director of football following a holiday in Italy.
Gold explains that the conversations are expected to be ‘positive’, with Tottenham prepared to help Conte assemble a squad that can compete with the best teams in the Premier League.

I do not see Conte walking away on the back of the foundations that he has laid at Spurs over the last seven months. It is clear that he has enjoyed his time at the club despite the challenges he has faced.
The Premier League is the place to be for all top managers around world football and we are no more than three or four top signings away from challenging for the title. So, there is no reason for Conte to leave.
