Alasdair Gold reveals Tottenham’s centre-back plans ahead of transfer window 

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham could look to sign two central defenders when the transfer window opens this summer.

If speculation over the last few weeks is to be believed, this could be Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez’s final season at Spurs.

Reports have suggested that Tottenham have made up their mind to cash in on Sanchez while a return to Ajax is on the cards for Alderweireld.

Sky Sports claimed last week that strengthening at centre-back is one of Tottenham’s priorities heading into the transfer window.

The report also added that the North London club have already made contact with Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng and Southampton’s Jannik Vestergaard.

Several other centre-backs have also been mooted as targets for Spurs including Lyon’s Joachim Andersen, who has had an impressive season on loan at Fulham.
