Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Harry Kane is excited about Tottenham’s path under Antonio Conte after it emerged that the club are going to back the Italian in this summer’s transfer window.
Spurs announced on Tuesday that they had received a £150m cash injection from majority shareholder ENIC, which provides them “with greater financial flexibility and the ability to further invest on and off the pitch.”
According to reports, Spurs are ready to offer the full £150m war chest to Conte to strengthen the squad ahead of his first full season in charge.
Gold has now claimed that Kane is excited by the development and the direction the club are heading in. The 28-year-old allegedly believes that Conte being backed this summer could help him realise his dream of winning a major trophy with the North London club.
The journalist explains that while Kane was worried about Tottenham’s lack of ambition last summer, his focus is now solely on winning silverware with the club.
Gold also added that if Spurs continue to show ambition, the striker would be open to signing a new contract with the club.

Levy would have realised that holding on to Conte would be key to ensuring that Kane sticks around at the club. If we show signs of progress next season, which one would expect us to if Conte is backed this summer, I expect the England captain to put pen to paper on a new deal.
