Alasdair Gold reveals what he has been told about Spurs links to Jules Kounde

Football London’s Alasdair Gold has been told there is no truth to the Tottenham links with Sevilla centre-back, Jules Kounde.

This comes after the Mirror reported Spurs were in the race for the central defender’s signature this summer, and had jumped towards the front of the queue.

The report claimed the French defender has a £76m release clause and PSG are also interested in signing, although they may have to compete with Spurs after Antonio Conte missed out on his top targets, like Alessandro Bastoni.

Tottenham have already signed Clement Lenglet on loan this summer, and boast the likes of Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon across the back line.

If Gold’s latest update is to be believed, there is no truth to the Kounde links at all.

In his latest YouTube video, Gold said (1:09:20): “Jules Kounde, I’ve seen some links with him. I’m told there is no truth in links to him whatsoever.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Jules Kounde would be a signing to play on the right side of a back three, and that is arguably the most locked-in role Spurs have with Cristian Romero. If Tottenham go big on a centre-back, it will be a left-sided, probably left-footed option.
