Alasdair Gold has revealed that the word he has heard the most often to describe Tottenham target Antonio Nusa is ‘humble’.
If reports over the last 24 hours are to be believed, Tottenham are making progress in their efforts to strike a deal with Club Brugge for Nusa.
Football Insider reported on Sunday morning that Spurs are looking to strike an ‘early agreement’ for the exciting winger after blowing away other Premier League sides in the race.
The outlet explained that the Lilywhites’ willingness to loan the 18-year-old back to Brugge for the remainder of the season was significant in helping them outmuscle the likes of Chelsea and Fulham for the player.
The Norway international is known for his dribbling ability and his willingness to take on defenders, with journalist Dena Jones telling Ranks FC Ultras Podcast a couple of days ago that Tottenham’s recruitment team were impressed by the teenager’s ball carrying and decision-making metrics.

Antonio Nusa is a star on and off the pitch
Gold has now explained that those who know Nusa have also spoken in glowing terms about the youngster’s personality, with many praising him for his humility.
He said on Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast about Spurs’ pursuit of the winger: “It appears talks have been held this week, he’s a very exciting young player and we’ve spent the day digging into everything about him and his path.
“Speaking to people who know him a word that came back straight away was ‘humble’. This is a good word in today’s game, not to do down any young players out there, but it’s difficult for young players when they’re earning decent players to keep their feet on the ground, but everything suggests that’s what Nusa is like.”

We know that Postecoglou puts a lot of emphasis on the player’s character as he only wants those who put the team’s needs first and are willing to take instruction on board. So, Tottenham’s recruitment team would have done their homework on Nusa’s personality
