Alasdair Gold reveals what sources close to Kane have said about the January window

Harry Kane will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, sources close to the forward have told Football.London.

Journalist, Alasdair Gold revealed that a departure from North London in the upcoming window is not on the cards, with it expected that Kane will still be a Tottenham player at the end of the campaig.

Kane revealed earlier today on Twitter that he will be staying at the club ‘this summer’, rather than using the words ‘this season’.

Spurs head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was asked during this afternoon’s press conference whether Kane is committed for the whole season and refused to speak on the matter.

The England captain has three years left to run on his existing contract in North London with his future having dominated the summer transfer window amid interest from Premier League champions Manchester City.

Kane had previously informed the Spurs hierarchy of his desire to leave the club this summer, but a suitable bid did not arrive from the Eithad outfit, having consisted of £75m with a further £25m in add-ons.

The England captain and his representatives have held positive talks with Fabio Paratici and Nuno Espirito Santo in recent weeks, which has led to Kane issuing a statement ahead of the transfer window closing at the end of the month.
