Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham have been pretty clear privately that they have no intention of selling Harry Kane this summer and are confident of holding on to the striker.
Kane’s future continues to be the subject of much speculation, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea credited with an interest in the striker.
However, Gold has revealed that Spurs have no intention of selling him as they realise that replacing him would cost huge money.
The journalist stated that there was some disappointment at Tottenham with the timing of the striker’s public transfer admission last season, with many at the club feeling that the 27-year-old could have waited until the end of the campaign.
While Kane is reportedly ready to take up a new challenge, it is asserted that the club do not expect the striker to down tools if he does not get a move this summer.
Gold asserts that it would take a near world record figure to even get Daniel Levy to the negotiating table and that neither Manchester United nor Manchester City are likely to break the bank for the Tottenham man this summer.

Paratici’s public admission about wanting to keep Kane was seemingly a clear message by the Italian to the likes of City and United. If Gold is right and Kane does not down tools, I do not see him getting a move this summer.
However, I do think that the striker will now likely refuse a new contract, potentially forcing the club to cash in on him next summer. So, unless we improve significantly under Nuno, I believe next season will likely be Kane’s final one in a Spurs shirt.
