Alasdair Gold has provided an update on Tottenham’s manager hunt, revealing that both Fabio Paratici and Paulo Fonseca are expected to be appointed in the near future.
The Football London journalist wrote in his most recent article that both men would be appointment in their respective roles in the ‘coming days’. He also added that Paratici could be officially announced by the club as early as this weekend.
Gold claimed that Paratici will join Tottenham in a similar role to the one he had at Juventus, giving him more power than previous Sporting Directors in North London.
It is said that Paratici has been heavily involved in the manager hunt since joining and, when the Conte talks collapsed last week, Paulo Fonseca was his main target.
Journalist Gianluigi Longari revealed earlier this week that Spurs had first made contact with Paulo Fonseca back on May 31st, with the deal now almost done.
It now appears that Spurs are very close to appointing and announcing their two new figures at the head of the club.
