Alasdair Gold reveals when Spurs aim to have Manor Solomon back in training

Manor Solomon has been out of action since the end of September, and while Tottenham Hotspur expect the player to return to training before the end of the season, they are not putting pressure on him to play again this term.

After signing on a free transfer last summer, Solomon made a decent start to life at Tottenham, registering two assists in his first five games for the Lilywhites (Transfermarkt).

However, the Israeli has been on the sidelines since September with a meniscus injury, and there is still no sign of a comeback in the offing. Ange Postecolou recently told Football.London that Solomon was some way off a return.

The player himself has shared a message recently on Instagram after undergoing fresh surgery, to discuss how frustrating his time out injured has been.

Manor Solomon is unlikely to play again this season

Now, Alasdair Gold has shared an update on Solomon’s potential return date, and it seems Solomon will not be taking to the pitch for Tottenham again this season.

Gold tweeted: “Understand there’s a chance Manor Solomon could be back training just before the season ends after minor meniscus surgery on his right knee yesterday, but there’s no rush for him to be back for this campaign with the club looking for him to be fully fit and ready for pre-season.”

Spurs Web Opinion

What a waste of a season for Manor Solomon this has been. It’s so disappointing because he looked like he was going to be a very useful squad member in those early days, and now I feel like the squad has evolved beyond him already.

If Ange likes him, then fair enough, he may still hold some value to our side next season. But, I’d be tempted to sell him this summer and find better players instead.
