Alasdair Gold has revealed that the people he has spoken to Hotpsur Way only have positive things to say about Timo Werner and his impact since he has been at the club.
Werner has silenced his critics since arriving at Spurs and has repaid the faith Ange Postecoglou showed by bringing him to the club on the back of a poor six months at Leipzig.
The 28-year-old could have not have hoped for a better start to his loan move in N17 and he admitted in his post-match interview to Spurs Play on Sunday that he is loving being a part of this Tottenham team.
The wide-forward demonstrated against Nottingham Forest just how threatening he can be when he is at his best as his pace and directness posed a huge problem for the away side throughout the game.
Timo Werner is a popular figure at Tottenham
Tottenham have the option of signing Werner permanently for around £15m this summer and reports from Germany over recent weeks indicate that the player is keen to remain at the North London club (Sport Bild).
Gold has now revealed that the on-loan Leipzig man has quickly become a popular feature at Hotspur Way.

He said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast: “I really like Timo Werner, I really do, I’ve been speaking to a lot of people in the club about him, whether that’s his teammates, coaching staff, people in various departments, they all say the same thing. What a lovely down-to-earth guy he is.”

We know that Postecoglou puts just as much value on a player’s personality as he does on their ability. The fact that Werner has settled in nicely in the dressing room and shown that he is a team man will be taken into account by the Australian while making a transfer decision on the wide-forward.
