Alasdair Gold says noises from Kane’s camp do not rule out new Spurs contract

Football London journalist, Alasdair Gold has now revealed that noises coming from Harry Kane’s camp have hinted the England captain could yet sign a new Spurs contract.

This news comes after a summer saga linking Kane with a potential move to Manchester City. Kane reportedly informed Tottenham of his desire to leave earlier this year.

It was reported last Monday that Kane has failed to report for training at Hotspur Way despite being expected to do so. However, the striker himself has since denied those claims.

Reports have indicated that Spurs remain unmoved and have no intentions of selling Kane this summer.

In what would prove to be one of the most surprising twists in Tottenham transfer history, Alasdair Gold has now reported rumblings from Kane’s camp that hint a new Spurs contract could yet be on the table.

Gold said (Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast – 36 minutes in): “There are little bits of noises coming out from around his [Kane’s] camp not to entirely rule out a new contract for him which would be an incredible u-turn or a turnaround.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

This would be incredible. If Spurs managed to get Kane and Son tied into the next stage of the project in N17, I think we could really have a push at winning something and becoming a regular top side. That is a big if though!
