Alasdair Gold has taken to Twitter to share his understanding of what Mauricio Pochettino has told Paris Saint-Germain about his future.
The journalist has claimed that Pochettino told officials of the French club towards the end of last week that he wanted to depart and return to Tottenham Hotspur.
Pochettino is said to have a ‘real desire’ to head back to North London to complete his unfinished business at the club.
The 49-year-old admitted in an interview with BT Sport in April of last year that he wanted to return to the club one day to finish the job he started in May 2014 following his move from Southampton.
Gold warned that despite Pochettino having made his intentions clear, Spurs still face a difficult prospect to prise him away from the French capital, where they have appeared to have triggered an extension by a further year which could have been a move to secure a larger compensation fee (The Times).
