Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed what his sources are telling him regarding the future of Tottenham Hotspur target Alex Scott.
It has been widely reported that Spurs are considering a move to bring Alex Scott to N17, having been extremely impressed with his growth at Bournemouth.
The 22-year-old appears to have come of age at the Vitality Stadium this term, having been the most consistent performer for Andoni Iraola’s side.
Some outlets have suggested over recent weeks that Man United are expected to challenge Roberto De Zerbi’s men for the Cherries star’s services.

Bournemouth draft Alex Scott plan amidst Tottenham interest
Ben Jacobs has now confirmed that Spurs are indeed keen on securing the services of the England U21 international, while Man United are also keeping tabs on his situation.
However, the journalist revealed that Bournemouth are making plans to tie down Scott to a new deal at the Vitality Stadium to fend of the transfer interest.
Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “Central midfield could still be an area where Tottenham look to improve. They’ll have to make a decision over Joao Palhinha and there is a willingness to potentially engage to keep him permanently and he would like to stay.
“Tottenham are one of the clubs also looking at Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. He’s on Manchester United’s radar too, but once again, as I’ve said many times, Bournemouth are calm about that situation and are hoping to offer Scott a new deal.”
Spurs may have one advantage in Scott pursuit but they need to break the bank
Scott has repeatedly admitted that he grew up supporting Tottenham, and that he has a soft spot for the North London club.
That may give Spurs an advantage over the midfielder’s other suitors, but the youngster is not expected to come cheap.
According to a recent update from CaughtOffside, Bournemouth could demand around £60m-£65m for the Tottenham target this summer.
