Several Tottenham Hotspur players are now set to link up with their national teams for friendly and World Cup qualifying games.

Club football is expected to pause for a little while for the first time this year, as players travel across the globe to represent their national teams.

For Tottenham, their poor record before international breaks continues, as they once more fell short in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Nottingham Forest beat them 3-0.

The Spurs players will now have the next few weeks to get their minds off that defeat as they feature in friendlies and World Cup qualifying games on different continents.

Tottenham players called up for international duty as Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall feature

Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall, representing Romania and Sweden respectively, are among those whose countries are currently chasing a World Cup qualifying spot and have received a call-up away from Tottenham.

Italy are also featuring in the World Cup qualifiers, but Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario are two of 15 players set to remain at Hotspur Way. Vicario missed out on an Italy call-up because of hernia surgery.

These are the Tottenham players, including academy stars and those out on loan, who have been called up, along with when and where they will be in action during this international window (all kick-off times are UK):

Spurs face anxious wait over player fitness during international break

For Tottenham, with their relegation struggles, they will be hoping that the various first-team stars flying out to represent their countries all return fit.

At the moment, the injury crisis Spurs have been dealing with for most of the season looks to be easing off, and as such, they will want to avoid any more setbacks.

The games coming immediately after the break are huge for Tottenham in their bid to avoid the drop, and they will need to have their players ready for the relegation fight.
