Tottenham are said to be keen on signing Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer.
The North London side have had trouble this season with the right back slot with Kieran Trippier having been in poor form and Serge Aurier has not able to make the spot his own due to his inconsistency.
It has been reported in the Sun that Mauricio Pochettino is open to getting rid of both Trippier and Aurier in the summer, in order to fund a move for Wan-Bissaka.
Here’s all you need to know about the young full back.
Full Name: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Age: 21
Club: Crystal Palace
Nationality: England
Position: Right back/Right wing back
Playing Style: Wan-Bissaka is an all-action full-back who is quite dynamic. He can get up and down the flank for the whole ninety minutes and is particularly good in one on one situations, both offensively as well as defensively.
Strengths: Quick off the mark, balance
Weaknesses: Delivery, decision making
Career Highlights: After making his debut for Palace last season, Wan-Bissaka has managed to become the Eagles’ first choice at right-back this season.
Despite being just 21 years of age, Wan-Bissaka has impressed observers with the maturity he displays, particularly in defensive situations.
MORE SPURS STORIES
While he is yet to be called up for the senior England squad, if he continues putting in similar displays, then it will only be a matter of time before he gets capped by his country.
Rumour rating: B-
This move appears unlikely as Wan-Bissaka is likely to attract interest from a lot of clubs which means his price will be quite high.
Additionally, it is unlikely that Tottenham will sell both Aurier and Trippier in the same window.
Given that Kyle Walker-Peters is also rated highly by Pochettino and his staff, it doesn’t appear as if the club will be willing to spend £40-50 million on another right back.
