Alli wants to bring this back into his game this season – has set himself a target

Spurs midfielder Dele Alli has told the press that he has set himself a target for goals next season, saying (Daily Mail): “I’m not really one for setting targets for goals and assists but I want to bring them back into my game, so of course I’ve set myself a little target.”

Although he would not reveal his target publicly, it is good to see that Alli appears to be in the right mindset for the upcoming campaign.

Alli had a slightly disappointing individual campaign last season, finding the back of the net only 7 times (TransferMarkt).

However, he put in some memorable performances and played a big part in the Champions League semi-final against Ajax.

Spurs fans have been excited by the mindset shown by Harry Kane in pre-season. Photos have shown that Kane has got into seriously good shape and he’s working hard after his injuries last season (The Telegraph). These comments from Dele will have fans excited that he wants to better himself this campaign too.

Spurs have had a great pre-season, winning the Aldi Cup after wins against Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. This has left the fans should be excited for the season ahead!
