“Almost perfect” – Some fans react to the Spurs team vs Brentford

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the team selection for this evening’s match against Brentford.

The side who are placed fourth in the Championship stand between Jose Mourinho’s side and a place at Wembley to face either Manchester United or Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup.

Brentford are looking to register three consecutive wins in the League Cup for the first time in their history with Spurs certainly needing to be wary that the Bees have beaten Premier League opposition in each of the respective rounds.

Thomas Frank’s side are featuring in their first ever League Cup semi-final, becoming the 59th team to reach this stage.

Spurs have made five changes to the side which beat Leeds United at the weekend with Serge Aurier in for Matt Doherty, Davinson Sanchez for Toby Alderweireld, Sergio Reguilon for Ben Davies, Moussa Sissoko for Harry Winks and Lucas Moura replaces Steven Bergwijn.

  1. Just hope this is not a case of Spurs allowing an ambitious and aspiring side like Brentford to control the games flow, or that Tottenham under-estimate their potential threat for a cup upset. Sanchez is my biggest concern?
