“Always believed” – Some Spurs players react to win over Newcastle

Tottenham beat Newcastle 1-0 courtesy of an 83rd-minute strike by Son Heung-Min at Wembley yesterday.

It was a crucial three points that took Spurs to second place in the table ahead of Manchester City who welcome Arsenal to the Etihad today and are just 4 points behind Liverpool who travel to West Ham on Monday.

The win also set a new Premier League record as this was the 29th consecutive game that Spurs haven’t drawn.

This was also the third game in a row where Spurs produced a late winner to bag all three points after similar dramatic finishes against Fulham and Watford.

Pochettino praised the team’s belief and character as they kept going until the final whistle and manage to get over the line without the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

The Spurs players were understandably delighted with the result.
