Dejan Kulusevski has admitted that Pape Matar Sarr is a very popular member of the Tottenham changing room and that the midfielder is quite a happy camper.
Sarr’s rise this season has been quite stunning, with the midfielder going from someone who hardly got a look-in under Antonio Conte to being an ever-present in Ange Posteocoglou’s midfield.
In fact, it can be argued that the Senegal international is now one of Tottenham’s most important players, and one would expect him to continue playing regularly even when both Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are fit and available at the same time (which has not happened so far this season).
The 21-year-old was rewarded for his performances this season with a new long-term contract last week, with reports suggesting that the youngster had received a huge pay rise (Football Insider).
Everyone at Spurs loves Pape Matar Sarr
Kulusevski has now admitted that everyone in the squad is always joking with Sarr, adding that the players love the Senegal international’s energy.
When asked who always gets roasted at Spurs, the Swede told BBC Sport: “Emerson and Pape Sarr. Everybody’s joking with Pape Sarr all the time. Pape is just cute. He’s just an amazing guy, always smiles, just like a fantastic guy. Everybody likes his energy.”

Sarr seems like such a happy and unassuming kid, much like Son was when he arrived from Bayer Leverkusen as a youngster. The 21-year-old is already quite popular among his teammates and fans, and his popularity is likely to grow even further over the next few years.
