‘Always working hard’ – Lucas Moura labels teammate ‘The Tireless Man’

Lucas Moura has labelled Oliver Skipp as ‘the tireless man’ and claims he is ‘always working hard’ in a post on Instagram.

The picture, uploaded onto the Brazilian forward’s social media account, was of both Tottenham teammates alongside each other outside the club’s Enfield training centre.

Skipp re-joined Spurs in the summer following a successful spell out on loan with Norwich City last season, in which he helped the side secure promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

He has managed to continue his stellar form from the last campaign and has since emerged as a near mainstay in the Spurs midfield under Nuno Espirito Santo, forming a solid partnership with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Earlier this season, the Portuguese coach praised the England U21 international’s start to the campaign, and was almost shocked to see him hit the ground running so comfortably.

Nuno said (via football.london): “I like very much Skipp and I think you can see it. Since we arrived he was injured and the way, the commitment he showed even during the recovery of his injury and he started the pre-season working very hard.

“He’s helping the team. He’s a young boy that is doing well.”

Skipp’s presence and performances look like they are being felt across the whole of the squad and it is nice to see the other players bouncing well off his energy.

He has a way to go in his career still as he is still so young, but he has emerged as such a solid and dependable option already, which is impressive.
