Ange Postecoglou discusses how Werner and Dragusin have settled in at Spurs

In his latest press conference, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou was asked how his new signings have been settling in at the club, and it sounds like Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin are doing just fine at their new club.

Spurs have been busy this month, bringing in two new players early in the transfer window. The club has made clever signings, too, with key areas of Ange Postecoglou‘s squad reinforced as planned.

Timo Werner was the first to arrive, joining on a six-month loan deal from RB Leipzig. Spurs will pay the player’s wages, and have an optional purchase clause in the agreement worth around £15m (Sky Sports).

Soon after, the Lilywhites won the race to sign the highly-rated Romanian defender, Radu Dragusin, from Genoa. The 21-year-old cost Spurs an initial £21.5m, with a further £5.2m in add-ons to follow (Sky Sports).

Werner and Dragusin have settled in well at Spurs

We are yet to see a great deal of the pair so far. Werner started the game against Manchester United almost two weeks ago, providing an assist on his debut, while Dragusin was a second-half substitute.

Postecoglou has seen plenty of his latest recruits in training, though, and had positive things to say in his press conference today (via Football.London).

He said: “They’ve adapted well. All you can go by is how they are training and how they are adapting to training and both have adapted and fitted in with the lads really well.

“It’s a good group they’ve walked into in terms of the environment to allow them to settle quickly and I know our club is working hard with them off the field to get them settled as well so they’ve been great, they’ve been fine.”

I’m excited to see more of these two in action. Werner looked lively against United, and could be dangerous against City this weekend. Dragusin may have to be a little bit more patient now that Romero and van de Ven are back, but he will get ample opportunity to play over the season.
