Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social media to react to the club’s latest injury update on Harry Kane.
It was revealed that the striker has had to undergo surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring which he suffered in the 75th minute of the 1-0 loss at Southampton on New Year’s Day.
Kane pulled up just seconds after he thought he had levelled the score against the Saints but his effort was ruled out by VAR.
After going under the knife, the club has confirmed that Kane will now face an extended period on the sidelines and is not expected to return to training until early April.
The 26-year-old missed seventeen games for Tottenham last year between January 14th and May 31st with respective ankle ligament injuries (transfermarkt).
Kane’s absence represents a significant blow to Tottenham’s chances of a top four finish in the Premier League and currently trail rivals Chelsea who occupy fourth place.

This is what happens when you have another striker to rotate in…Levy's fault. Kane has been overplayed and the injuries will keep happening unfortunately.
