One more Tottenham man decides to come off social media after receiving a torrent of intense criticism from Spurs fans.

Brennan Johnson was forced off Instagram earlier this season
Johnson was the first victim of social media abuse this season, with the winger receiving a lot of flak online at the start of the season for his poor performances.
The Wales international reportedly decided to come off Instagram as a result and that had a positive impact on his form, with the attacker finding the back of the net consistently for around a month after doing so.
The former Nottingham Forest man has now been joined by another one of his Spurs teammates in taking a social media hiatus after he too came in for flak online.

Pedro Porro comes off X after Spurs fan backlash
Porro has now decided to close his X account after a post he shared garnered intense criticism.
According to The Daily Mail, the Spurs right-back shared retweeted the following post from Squawka revealing that he is the only defender to have more than 20 goal contributions since his Premier League debut.
In response, several Tottenham supporters responded by lambasting his defensive contributions, forcing the Spaniard to take down his account.
The report reveals that one fan wrote: “What an embarrassment, his defensive negligence removes all of his attacking contributions so he’s at a net zero contribution.”
Another wrote: “Needs to be more proud of trying to keep clean sheets as he is a ‘defender’. All well and good going forward but do your job first and foremost.”

Pedro Porro deserves some slack
Some fans will argue that it is fair to criticise Porro, given his defensive frailties this season.
However, like a lot of other players in the squad, the 25-year-old has been overplayed this season, and given the demands put on the full-backs in Postecoglou‘s system, it is not surprising that he has looked tired over recent weeks.
