Antonio Conte has admitted that he is hopeful that Hugo Lloris will be fit to feature in the North London derby tomorrow afternoon.
There are concerns over the fitness of more than one Spurs player ahead of the clash against Arsenal, with Lloris being one of them.
The French national team announced on Monday morning that the goalkeeper had withdrawn from the squad ahead of their upcoming Nations League fixtures against Austria and Denmark due to an injury of his right thigh.
Meanwhile, Ben Davies is reportedly in a race against time to recover from his knee injury (Football.London) while Dejan Kulusevski is also a doubt for the clash against Gunners due to a hamstring problem (The Evening Standard).
Conte chose to keep his cards close to his chest in his press conference yesterday afternoon, refusing to divulge any details on the various injuries, insisting that he did not want to give Arsenal any advantage (Football.London).
However, the Tottenham boss has given a positive update on Lloris in his interview with the club’s official channel.
Conte told SpursPlay on Thursday: “To be honest, we have to check some players because they returned from the international break with some physical problems.
“Tomorrow, we have another training session to check their physical condition and then to make the best decision for Saturday. Hugo is one of the players with some physical problems, but we hope to see him on Saturday.”

Lloris’ availability will be a big boost as it would have been a risk to ask Fraser Forster to make his debut in such a high-pressure game. Lloris has not only been in exceptional form but his leadership at the back is going to be crucial as our defence is going to be put under pressure at the Emirates.
