Antonio Conte reveals talks with Levy and Paratici ahead of transfer widow closing

With the summer transfer window closing on Thursday, Antonio Conte has been speaking about potential deals involving Tottenham Hotspur at today’s pre-West Ham United press conference.

The north Londoners have been very active since the window opened, having brought in seven new faces including Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Djed Spence, Clement Lenglet and Destiny Udogie.

There has also been some activity of players heading out the door in N17 with Steven Bergwijn and Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jack Clarke leaving on a permanent basis along with loan deals for Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Joe Rodon.

Conte recently admitted that if there were any more departures from his squad, then new players must arrive to take their place (Football.London).

The Italian revealed today that he has spoken with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici to share his opinion, while insisting whether or not they follow his guidance is fine.

He told Football.London: “I spoke with the club. I spoke with Paratici, with Daniel Levy, I said to them my opinion. But as you know very well, the most important thing is for the club to know my opinion. If we do something or not, it’s ok.”

There are likely deals still to be done before the window closes, especially with outgoings. Harry Winks and Bryan Gil are both likely to seal loan exits, while Tottenham are still lacking a creative influence within their ranks.

Adama Traore or Ruslan Malinovskyi could be worth keeping an eye on, given both players are out of contract next summer with Wolves and Atalanta, respectively.
