Antonio Conte reveals when he thinks Dejan Kulusevski will play again

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has revealed that he is not prepared to risk Dejan Kulusevski against Eintracht Frankfurt tomorrow evening but offered a promising opinion ahead of the visit of Everton.

The attacking midfielder injured his hamstring during the international break with Sweden and has missed Spurs’ Premier League games against Arsenal and Brighton, along with last week’s return fixture in Frankfurt.

Kulusevski returned to training with his team mates at Hotspur Way this morning with Conte revealing that after consulting the club’s medical team there is still a chance that the 22-year-old is at risk of injury.

Conte instead admitted that he believes he could face Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.

He told Football.London: “I think Deki is almost ready. Yesterday he had an MRI and it was really, really positive but at the same time, I spoke to the doctors and they said tomorrow we can have 5% of risk.

“I don’t want to take risk because Deki is an important player for us. It would be stupid. We need patience and we’ve faced this situation well without him. Against Everton I think he will be able to play.”

With Lucas Moura among the substitutes for tomorrow’s match, it makes no sense in risking Kulusevski potentially suffering a recurrence and missing the next few weeks.

Matches are coming thick and fast ahead of the World Cup and a fully fit Kulusevski to come into the team against Everton would be a massive boost.
