Any hopes Spurs had of signing highly rated right-back have taken a blow

Crystal Palace are being tipped to allow star player Wilfried Zaha to leave the club during the upcoming transfer window, but it could have knock-on consequences for Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Daily Mail’ report that Zaha will depart Selhurst Park if a bid in the region of £80million is received but it is likely to have an impact on Wan-Bissaka’s future.

Palace are reluctant to sell two of their best players in the same transfer window to limit the risk of their supporters becoming furious at their transfer activity.

At the end of February 2018, an injury crisis at Crystal Palace saw the youngster thrown in for his competitive debut against Tottenham and kept his place for the subsequent fixtures against Manchester United and Chelsea.

The 21-year-old proved that he could cope well against some of the biggest stars in the Premier League and has gone on to become Palace’s first choice right-back this season.

Spurs have been credited with interest previously in the Croydon-born Palace academy product, along with Manchester United (The Sun).

Mauricio Pochettino could be in the market for a new right-back with questions over Kieran Trippier’s future at North London becoming more and more evident.
