Apparently Djalo is not a target after all

Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports that Spurs are closing in on the signing of Yannick Djalo from Sporting Lisbon.

The striker’s agent claimed a deal could be struck soon, but Redknapp has poured cold water over the speculation.

“It’s not true,” the Spurs boss told reporters.

“I believe he’s a good player, but he is not and never has been in our plans.”

With another striking target disappearing, Spurs fans will be wondering who we will sign, if we indeed need another forward.

  1. Its looking more and more likely that we won’t be signing anybody before the season starts but then again, with Harry you never know…

  2. Think it will all kick off soon. There is no way daniel levy will push money into team building then once we achieve champions league football think we have accomplished our goal! He will push our club on by makin a couple of top signings before the deadline. Spurs fans should have complete faith in both harry and daniel! COYS

  3. it will be a 24hr signing most probably heskey or someone of his calibre lol
this is the best chance we ve had in years but no action
even if we do qualify we will most probably field a weakened team like last time we were in europe..
    no ambition

  4. Has anyone ever known of a transfer where the player or agent has said that "So and So has made an approach" that has ever taken place between that player and "So and So". Look at Chamakh who spent the best part of year saying we were going to sign him!

For all of you pessimists out there, I would not worry too much about our failure to sign so far., Nobody is doing great business out there at the moment.
