Archie Gray admits one senior Spurs star has ‘really looked after’ him

Tottenham’s youthful exuberance

Ange Postecoglou is certainly not one who believes in Alan Hansen’s infamous line: ‘You can’t win anything with kids’.

In fact, the Australian seems to think the exact opposite and really values the exuberance and fearlessness with which young players play.

Postecoglou and Lange have built an extremely young squad at the North London club, with several teenagers arriving through the door in the recent window.

Gray enjoying life at Spurs

One of those new faces, Gray, seems to be settling well into life at Tottenham and the 18-year-old revealed that many senior players have really looked after him in his early days at the club.

The former Leeds man singled out Son Heung-min in particular, admitting that the 32-year-old has been of great help off the pitch.

Son the ideal leader for Spurs

Postecoglou has made it clear time and again that he is keen to build a family feel at the club and his decision to make Son captain has certainly helped in that regard.

The South Korean is the sort of empathic leader that is ideal for Gen Z players such as Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and the other youngsters in the Spurs squad.

Son also leads by example in the way he trains and plays, always working his socks off and putting the needs of the team first.
