Tottenham academy Elliot Thorpe has taken a humourous dig at Arsenal on social media by giving a cheeky response to Gunners youngster Jonathan Dinzeyi.
After a couple of solid seasons for the Under-18s, Thorpe has graduated to the Under-23s this season, becoming a regular feature in the side.
With the likes of Marcel Lavinier, Nile John and Dane Scarlett being handed first-team opportunities by Jose Mourinho, Thorpe will be hoping he is next in line.
The 20-year-old has already endeared himself to the Spurs faithful as he made it clear to Dinzeyi that Arsenal players are not welcome to comment on his Instagram photos.
Thorpe posted a picture of himself in action against Tottenham’s old enemy, with the caption: “Focused on what is ahead”.
Dinzeyi, who joined the Arsenal youth ranks last summer after being released by Spurs, joked that the Tottenham midfielder went down after the challenge
Thorpe then came back at central defender with the comment: “Arsenal players aren’t welcome round here”
