Arsenal fans react to Thierry Henry’s dig at Spurs

Thierry Henry did not miss the opportunity to aim a dig at Tottenham while working as a pundit for Amazon Prime, and needless to say, some Arsenal fans on social media loved what they heard from their club legend.

Henry was a thorn on Tottenham’s side during his playing days, with the striker boasting of an impressive record in North London derbies.

The striker still seemingly has no love lost for the Lilywhites post-retirement as he looked to get one over them while undertaking punditry work ahead of Tottenham’s Europa Conference League clash against Rennes.

When asked by the host ahead of Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at Roahzon Parc if Rennes should be worried about going into the game against Spurs on the back of two losses, the Arsenal legend responded: “Sorry who?”.

After being told once more that Rennes would be facing Spurs, the Frenchman joked: “I don’t know them,” before offering a confused look down the camera.

Arsenal fans on social media predictably completely lapped up Henry’s comments about their North London rivals.

Here’s how some of them reacted to the Frenchman words:

This reaction demonstrates exactly how far Arsenal have fallen as a club over recent years. From being Champions League regulars and claiming not to care about Spurs during Henry’s playing days, to now making humourless jokes about their rivals to distract themselves from the fact that they are not even in Europe this season.
