Arsenal fan’s theory on why Spurs are responsible for the Gunner’s poor form

Tottenham’s win over Brighton yesterday puts them in a commanding position in the race for the top 4 spots. Spurs now sit three points clear of Chelsea, 4 ahead of Arsenal and 6 ahead of Manchester United.

With Spurs arguably having the easiest fixtures remaining among the four teams, it looks like the Lillywhites are overwhelming favourites to retain the third spot.

Spurs’ cause has certainly been helped by their rivals’ poor recent form with Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all failing to get three points in games they were expected to win.

Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal, in particular, had a couple of chances to go above Spurs in the table but ended up losing away at Everton and against Crystal Palace at home recently.

An Arsenal fan on social media insisted that Tottenham were to blame for the Gunner’s poor run of form.

The fan in question suggested that the reason Arsenal are having to contend with tough away games in succession at the end of the season was because of the fact that Spurs and Arsenal cannot have home games on the same day.
