It seemed unlikely that Tottenham would be able to scrape any kind of win against an in form Borussia Dortmund last week, especially without Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and any recognisable left back.
Even at half time at draw didn’t look to be on the cards for the Lilywhites, yet alone at Spurs win.
However, Dortmund had some injury problems if their own, and Tottenham came out in the second half like a completely different team.
They went on to run the show, grab three goals, and put one foot into the quarter finals of the competition.
Spurs are also due to get Harry Kane and Dele Alli back in the next two weeks, as well as Danny Rose at left back, so their squad will only get stronger.
Even Arsenal legend Paul Merson has admitted that Tottenham could definitely win the entire competition now, as they took a major step towards the final eight.
He wrote in the Daily Star: “What Tottenham did this week in the Champions League was unreal – and they definitely have the potential to win it now.
