Arsenal legend Ian Wright predicts who will win the race for the PL top four

Ian Wright believes Tottenham will finish in the Premier League top four ahead of Arsenal as they have more attacking firepower than their North London counterparts.

Spurs extended the gap to Arsenal to three points with a 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, capitalising on the Gunners’ defeat to Brighton earlier in the day.

Victory at Villa Park means Tottenham have secured six wins in their last seven league games while developing a ruthlessness in front of goal in the process.

Antonio Conte’s men have netted 14 goals in their last four games conceding just two, with attacking trio Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski chipping in regularly between each other.

And Spurs’ knack for scoring of late has led ex-Arsenal man Wright to believe they currently hold the advantage for the final Champions League spot over his former employers.

When asked for his verdict on who will finish fourth, he said on Match of the Day (BBC One – 09/04/22 from 22:20 onwards): “Tottenham – I think especially when you look at how they can score, Arsenal are not scoring.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have found their scoring touch of late and it seems to have come at the perfect time when games are starting to run out.

There is still a long way to go as of yet, though, and both teams need to play each other once more, but Spurs will be confident heading into the run-in with the way they are playing overall.
