Arsenal make embarassing and laughable bid for Tottenham-linked star

Tottenham Hotspur have been mentioned in the same breath as Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha on more than one occasion this summer (Bleacher Report).

However, it appears that Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal are actually the first club to submit and official bid for the Ivory Coast winger.

Palace are under no pressure to sell this summer after racking up £50m in the Wan-Bissaka Man United deal last week (BBC).

A report from the Daily Mail stated that the Eagles would only sell their star forward, Zaha, for a figure of around £80m this summer. The Sun even claim that Palace rate him at a whopping £120m.

Cue Arsenal.

The Sun say that Arsenal have now lodged an official bid of just £40m for the winger, but not only this, they want to pay the shockingly low fee over five years.

The Gunners even had the cheek to demand a discount if they managed to pay the fee early.
