Arsenal manager Unai Emery reveals what Giovani Lo Celso told him in conversation

Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso has yet to start a match for the Lilywhites since joining from Real Betis on loan in the summer.

However, Pochettino has handed a number of substitute appearances to the Argentine since the start of the season, coming in two bursts.

It seemed as if Lo Celso was building up towards his first start after appearances against the likes of Arsenal and Man City at the start of the campaign, until he picked up an injury.

Lo Celso was out for over a month after sustaining this injury on duty for the Argentina national side and has only just returned to the Spurs bench.

However, he did come on against Liverpool in the latest Premier League match for the Lilywhites, hinting that Pochettino is building him up to his full debut again.

Unai Emery, the Arsenal manager, has now revealed what Lo Celso told him after the North London Derby (Football London): “Here, every team is very strong, above all defensively, above all physically, and also the rhythm. Ceballos said to us, when we played in Liverpool, the rhythm was impressive, was amazing, and was difficult for the adaptation.

“Giovani lo Celso, when we played against Tottenham, also said to me, that rhythm is amazing, for the adaptation it’s not easy.”
