Arsenal player sends supportive message to Spurs midfielder following debut

Arsenal midfielder Eddie Nketiah has risked upsetting some Arsenal fans by posting a message of support for Spurs winger Jack Clarke after he made his debut on loan for QPR against Leeds United on Saturday.

Clarke was recalled from his loan spell at Leeds after seeing very little game time in the first half of the campaign for Marcelo Bielsa’s side (FourFourTwo).

Spurs confirmed last week that the youngster would be joining QPR on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

The 19-year-old made his bow for Rangers on Saturday against his former club as a second-half substitute and helped his side overcome the promotion chasers 1-0.

The youngster took to social media after the game to reveal his delight at making a winning start with his new club.

Nketiah, who also spent the first half of the season on loan at Elland Road before being recalled by Arsenal this month, replied to his former teammates’ post on Instagram.

The Arsenal man responded with a comment that read, ‘Love it’, to Clarke’s following post

The decision to loan Clarke out to Leeds proved to be quite a disastrous one as we wasted six crucial months of his development. I am sure the club would have sought guarantees of game time from QPR before agreeing to send the winger to the club on loan. Hopefully, he will get a few games under his belt and show the kind of form that pushed the Lilywhites to sign him last summer.
