Arsenal receive triple injury boost ahead of North London Derby

Tottenham Hotspur have a big week ahead of them, with key fixtures against London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.

Two wins could revive Spurs’ title hopes, while two losses could plunge them back into a fight for the top four.

Tottenham lost 2-1 last time out as they took a trip to Turf Moor and Sean Dyche’s Burnley, while Chelsea lost the Carabao Cup Final to Man City yesterday, and Arsenal won comfortably against struggling Southampton.

Arsenal were hit with multiple injuries through their 2-0 win, with both Lichtsteiner and Iwobi forced off the field during the second half.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has also missed the last two games through illness, furthering Emery’s selection headaches.

However, the Arsenal manager is confident that all three will be available to play in min week against Bournemouth, as well as the North London Derby at the weekend.

Spurs also recently welcomed back lead striker Harry Kane who scored in his return against Burnley.

Emery said on Iwobi (Football London): “I hope it’s only a knock, not a more important injury. I hope he can play Wednesday.

“Lichtsteiner has back pain, but I hope he can be OK for Wednesday, I hope Maitland-Niles as well.”
