Mourinho hints whether Ndombele may play against Norwich

Tottenham Hotspur announced today that Tanguy Ndombele has returned to training with the first-team squad ahead of the Premier League match against Norwich City tomorrow.

Spurs have yet to win a single top flight match in 2020, with losses against Liverpool and Southampton, as well as a draw against Watford.

Tottenham only played Norwich last at the end of 2019, with Tanguy Ndombele picking up an injury in the very next match.

The Frenchman was taken off in the first half against Southampton on New Year’s Day and has not been seen on the pitch since.

This is the latest in a line of injuries the Tottenham record signing has struggled with since moving from Lyon to North London.

However, Mourinho has now revealed that he hopes Ndombele will be fit to play a run of games for Spurs, even hinting that he may play some part in the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow evening.

Ndombele has been working with the fitness coach at Hotspur Way over the past week to try and get him back up to speed.

He said (Alasdair Gold): “I hope [he will be fit to play a run of games]. When you look at when he played, he offers us something we need. Last week he worked one-on-one with a fitness coach to bring his level up before joining the group. Hopefully, he can give us something tomorrow.”
