‘Assume he was house-hunting’ – Pundit tips Spurs man to join Wolves or Villa

Danny Mills has claimed that he could see Tottenham’s Harry Winks joining Wolves or Aston Villa this summer after he was spotted in Birmingham recently.

The pundit confirmed that Winks was playing golf at The Belfry in Birmingham, while adding that he could have been house hunting while in the area.

As such, he suggested local teams Wolves and Aston Villa as possible destinations for the Spurs academy graduate this summer, claiming that Winks will not get into the Spurs side next year.

Winks struggled for minutes last time out under Jose Mourinho, with the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko getting in ahead of him. That may only get worse next season if Spurs sign new players and Oliver Skipp returns from loan.

TransferMarkt claim that Winks is currently worth around £18m and Football Insider recently reported that Fabio Paratici is set to tell the midfielder that Spurs will listen to offers for him this summer.

Mills said: “I don’t see him getting into that Spurs side.

“It depends who comes and goes this summer but he’s down the pecking order. He has been for some time now.

“He needs to get playing. I see him going to Wolves and Aston Villa. He was seen playing golf at The Belfry.

“Let’s assume he was househunting. I can confirm he was there.”
