Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Carlo Laudisa has revealed that Aston Villa are the latest club to enter the race for rumoured Tottenham target Weston McKennie.
There have been plenty of updates regarding Tottenham’s pursuit of McKennie over recent months, with sources claiming that Fabio Paratici is a big fan of the USA international, who he bought from Schalke to Turin two years ago.
In fact, Alasdair Gold said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast just a few days ago that the Spurs managing director of football would reunite with the Juve star ‘in a heartbeat’ if he got the opportunity to do so.
However, Tottenham are, by no means, the only club who are after McKennie, with Italian publications also crediting Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund with interest in the 24-year-old (Corriere della Sera).
Over recent days, it has also emerged that the midfielder is on Bournemouth’s wishlist, with the Cherries even being backed to submit an offer for the player over the coming days (CalcioMercato).
Laudisa has now revealed that another Premier League club in the form of Aston Villa also have their eyes on McKennie.

The journalist told Numero Diez: “(Juventus doing business) will depend on the eventual exit of McKennie, the only player for sale. There are contacts with the Premier League, with Aston Villa in particular and we’ll see.”
Spurs Web Opinion
McKennie’s attributes make him a good fit for the Premier League. So, it is not surprising that so many English clubs are exploring a deal for the 24-year-old. Despite Paratici being a fan of the American, it does not seem as if the Juve star is at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist for January.
