Donyell Malen has made some interesting comments about Tottenham ahead of Aston Villa’s visit to North London on Sunday.
With the international break done and dusted, the focus shifts to the big clash over the weekend, with the Lilywhites resuming their Premier League campaign with a clash against the Villans at home.
Tottenham have a good record in the fixture that follows the international break, but so do their opponents.
Unai Emery’s men come into the game in very good form, having won their last four across all competitions and being unbeaten in their last five.

Donyell Malen expects a tough test against Tottenham
Malen will be coming up against two of his international teammates on Sunday, with Xavi Simons and Micky van de Ven in line to start for Tottenham.
In fact, Malen started over Xavi for the Netherlands against Finland last weekend, and the 26-year-old found the back of the net as the Dutch emerged 4-0 winners.
The forward, who was signed from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, expects a tough test for his side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Malen told Villa’s official website about Spurs: “They’re a good team that’s started well. They look very good, so we have to be ready to be better than them.
“It’s away as well, so it’s going to be difficult. We have to be up for it. We had a difficult start, but I think we’ve turned it around quite well. We stayed focused on the right things, and to have four wins in a row is a good sign.”
Spurs have a big point to prove at home
Tottenham’s performances at home have not been up to scratch this season. In fact, the club’s three worst performances this season (against Wolves, Bournemouth and Villarreal) have come at home.

Villa offer a tougher challenge than those three sides, and Spurs need to win if they are to have big ambitions this season.
According to Opta’s Supercomputer, Tottenham are marginal favourites to beat Villa, but there is not much separating the two sides.
