‘At least a couple of weeks’ – negative update on Tottenham man’s injury

Tottenham Hotspur have received some positive injury news on multiple first team stars this week, with Harry Kane back in training and Dele Alli not far away.

Danny Rose should also be available to start again, after being named on the bench against Borussia Dortmund last week.

However, it isn’t good news for all involved with Spurs, as Josh Onomah remains weeks away from his own personal return.

Onomah is currently on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, but returned to Spurs after picking up a hamstring injury during Steve Bruce’s first game in charge of the club.

Bruce also managed Onomah while he was at Aston Villa last season.

An initial prediction of one-month was named for Onomah’s injury at the start of this month, but Bruce believes the midfield man is still at least a couple of weeks away from a return.

Onomah last started a game for Sheffield Wednesday back in December.

Bruce said (Sheffield Star): “He is still receiving treatment at Tottenham. It was a pretty nasty one and a shame for him.

“I would think it is at least a couple of weeks before we see him back here.”
