‘At our place’ – Everton player fires warning to Tottenham ahead of upcoming clash

Ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Goodison Park, James Tarkowski has warned the Lilywhites that Everton are confident of giving anyone a game at their home ground.

Spurs’ failure to hold on to a win at St Mary’s on Sunday came as a bitter blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Antonio Conte did not hold back in his criticism of the players after the game and unsurprisingly, it emerged that the Italian lost some players in the dressing room following his rant, with many said to have grown tired of his negative rants to the media (Guardian).

In fact, The Sun even reported today that some players at Tottenham expect the 53-year-old to be axed during the international break ahead of their clash against Everton on April 3, while The Telegraph added that Spurs are expected to part ways with their manager this week.

So, it might even be a new-look Spurs team overseen by Ryan Mason that heads to Merseyside after the international break and Tarkowski is confident that he and his teammates will make it difficult for the side from the capital.

The centre-back told Sky Sports Premier League (18/03/23): “We only look as far as the next game. The next game is Spurs, at home.

“At our place, right now, it’s a difficult place to come. So, we are ready to take anyone on and we look forward to it.”

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Tottenham would have a much better chance of picking up wins over the upcoming weeks and finishing in the top four if Conte is sacked during the international break.

The Italian has clearly lost the dressing room and it would be irresponsible of the club to leave him in charge for the trip to Goodison Park.
