Andre Villas-Boas has questioned Giovani Dos Santos’ motives after his recent comments about leaving Tottenham.
The Mexican international has twelve months remaining on his deal at White Hart Lane and has hinted that he could leave the club on a free transfer next summer.
Dos Santos joined us for £4.7million from Barcelona four years ago and has failed to make an impact under every manager at Spurs.
“I am not sure what Gio’s thought process was, coming out with a statement like that,” AVB told the press.
“The player is contracted to the club. We respect him and are counting on him to return to club duty.
“Then we will make a decision that is best for the club.”
